Our Philosophy

The fact is, managing risk today is a business imperative that involves organizational commitment, leadership support and flexible tools to strengthen and protect an organization.
To achieve desired outcomes, Resilient Solutions evaluates the broad spectrum of internal and external factors including technology dependencies, supplier relationships, human competencies, compliance requirements, regional hazards and global public health trends. Gaining unbiased insight from a trained industry specialist has proven invaluable for improving personnel capabilities and business protection.
Our Founder
Resilient Solutions is a privately-owned consulting firm specializing in the development of risk management and emergency response systems for the travel and experiential education industries. Founder and owner Dave Dennis entered the travel industry in 1996 as a tour leader and has worked within all functions and ranks relating to program operations throughout his career. In 2012, Dave earned a Master’s Degree in Business Continuity graduating with honors at the top of his class.
Dave created Resilient Solutions in 2011 with the sole purpose of supporting domestic and global tour operators develop fully functioning and comprehensive risk and emergency management systems. Within risk management, Resilient Solutions specializes in managing third-party providers, program design, trip leader training and legal and insurance compliance. Emergency management support focuses on the development of crisis response teams, creating and documenting customized emergency management plans and conducting simulations to exercise planning components and responder skill sets.
Dave is the co-founder and Executive Director of Cornerstone Safety Group, an all-inclusive risk management, medical, and mental health service company supporting tour operators and program providers. Dave has also served as Vice President of Risk Management with multiple industry-leading organizations, is the co-chair of the Gap Year Association’s Standards & Accreditation Committee, and has consulted over 60 travel organizations as a risk management expert.
